About Us

At Relational Communication Coaching (RCC), we help people close the gaps that break connection.

In families, workplaces, and relationships, we guide individuals and groups to communicate more clearly, resolve conflict, and build stronger, more functional relationships.

Connection isn’t just what we do — it’s how change happens.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help people see, hear, and understand each other again. We provide coaching and tools that restore trust, improve communication, and spark transformation in relationships and teams.

By creating spaces where honesty feels safe and growth is possible, RCC empowers people to thrive — at home, at work, and in life.

Our Story

Relational Communication Coaching was founded by Yolonda Young (Coach Lovey) to help people strengthen communication where it matters most — in relationships, families, and workplaces.

Yolonda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Saint Leo University and brings over 20 years of academic and applied study in psychology and human behavior, combined with 15 years of experience in the medical field, where clear communication, trust, and accountability are essential.

In addition, Yolonda spent 6 years in the corporate sector, serving as a manager, leadership trainer, and professional development facilitator. In this role, she worked directly with teams and leaders to improve communication, develop leadership capacity, reduce workplace friction, and support long-term employee engagement. This experience is the foundation of WorkWell, RCC’s organizational coaching and training arm.

Relational Communication Coaching was formally established in 2023 through WeWed, expanding into a full coaching practice serving individuals, couples, teams, and organizations. Yolonda has worked with a wide range of clients — from individuals navigating personal transitions, to couples rebuilding connection, to teams seeking alignment and stronger collaboration — with a strong track record of meaningful progress and sustainable outcomes.

Her approach is shaped by both professional training and lived experience. Growing up in a home impacted by miscommunication, and later building her own marriage since 2019, Yolonda understands how communication patterns form — and how intentional dialogue creates change. This perspective allows her to guide clients with empathy, structure, and practical strategy.

Yolonda is also an Ambassador with the Riverview/Brandon Chamber of Commerce, supporting local businesses and leaders through relationship-centered communication and leadership development.

Relational Communication Coaching blends psychology, real-world experience, and guided dialogue to help clients communicate with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Sessions are structured, intentional, and designed to create momentum — not just insight.

Clients choose Coach Lovey because conversations shift — and progress follows.

What We Believe

We believe communication is the heartbeat of every relationship. When it breaks down, tension, distance, and disconnection take root. But when it thrives, love grows stronger, teams become more collaborative, and individuals gain the confidence to live authentically.

At RCC, we believe:

✔️ Every voice deserves to be heard
✔️ Conflict holds the potential for growth
✔️ Connection is not a luxury — it’s a necessity

🔎 Coaching vs. Therapy: What’s the Difference?

We believe in clarity about what we do — and what we don’t do. Coaches → Focus on present and future goals. We help with communication, connection, stress management, and personal growth. We guide clients toward practical strategies and accountability.

Therapists / Counselors → Licensed to diagnose and treat mental health conditions. They often explore past trauma and provide therapy for depression, anxiety, or clinical issues. Psychiatrists → Medical doctors who diagnose and prescribe medication for mental illness.

👉 RCC is not therapy. We don’t diagnose or treat mental health disorders. We provide coaching, tools, and support for those ready to grow, heal communication gaps, and thrive in their relationships and environments.

Disclaimer:  If sessions reveal symptoms of serious mental illness or unsafe situations, coaching may be discontinued and the client will be referred to appropriate licensed professionals.
